You’re trying too hard. It clearly showed it being STRONG against ice types. It didnt show any indication of it being on level footing with it; the darn things smashed the block of ice with no hesitation.
He tried to use Nunchakus and did alright with them, but a BIG MUSCULAR MAN CAME AROUND AND STUFFED HIM INTO A BARREL. How does that not indicate being weak to fighting?
Finally, I actually know a wittle japanese, and on the episode, while Sylveon was being poisoned, they muttered the phrase “KOUKA WA BATSUGUN DA!?!?” which means roughly “IT’S SUPER EFFECTIVE?!?!?”
…It is not a bug type.
